Last month I had the privilege to be one of the speakers at the Awakening the Nations conference in Vanuatu – “Leadership for Church, Government and Nations”. This conference is the vision of Pastor Roy Funu (pictured) from the Solomon Islands who is now based in Bundaberg in Queensland. The Awakening conference received personal endorsement from the Prime Minister and President of Vanuatu.
The program included crusade meetings, community evangelism rallies and teaching for leaders. I had the opportunity to present 3 leadership sessions on the Kingdom. These were well received and as a result we are looking at presenting a seminar on the Kingdom next February in Parliament House to be attended by leaders from government, business and the church. My sessions were videoed and we plan to present DVDs of these sessions to all those who attend next year.
Over the next few years Roy plans to hold similar conferences throughout the Melanesian islands and he is keen for the message of the Kingdom to be a central part of these events. So please continue to pray for Roy and for the vision God has given him.

One of the great things about the Kingdom is that is much more than a message. The Kingdom provides a framework of thinking that leads to practical outcomes. Here is a wonderful story of community transformation within a poor sector of the Philippine capital of Manila.

I am part of a couple of ministers’ networks that meet regularly to talk about the Kingdom. We have found these times very helpful and we would like to see others enter into this same conversation because we feel the message of the Kingdom is very relevant for today.
